Greensteel is a locally owned supplier of steel, reo, fencing, roofing and building products across Central Queensland. You’ll work at our front counter, helping builders, tradies, farmers and locals find what they need. You’ll learn how construction jobs come together and how to build a career in sales.

You don’t need experience or a degree. If you’re friendly, reliable and keen to learn, we’ll train you.

• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the counter, over the phone and by email.
• Learn about our steel and building products, and how they’re used.
• Prepare quotes and process sales.
• Follow up quotes and win work.
• Build strong customer relationships.
• Work with the yard team to get orders out the door.

Greensteel is a locally owned supplier of steel, reo, fencing, roofing and building products across Central Queensland. Our customers help build the homes, farms and projects around our region, and as we grow, we’re looking for people to grow with us.

About the role

You’ll work at our front counter, helping builders, tradies, farmers and locals find what they need. Along the way, you’ll learn how construction jobs come together and how to build a career in sales.

What you’ll learn

• Serving customers at the counter, over the phone and by email
• Our steel and building products, and how they’re used
• Preparing quotes and processing sales
• Following up quotes and winning work
• Building strong customer relationships
• Working with the yard team to get orders out the door

What we’re looking for

• Reliability and a good work ethic
• A willingness to learn and ask questions
• Confidence talking to people, or a willingness to build it
• Basic computer skills
• An interest in sales, construction or working with your hands

You don’t need previous industry experience. Part-time jobs, sport, volunteering and life experience all count.
