We’re a family owned metal supplies and fabrication shop in Narangba. Cutting, forming, welding and finishing steel, aluminium and stainless

We are seeking a reliable, highly organised, and proactive salesperson who can talk shop, not just price, to join our team. In this multi-faceted role, you will be required to serve customers over the phone, via email, and face-to-face at the front counter. You will act as the vital link in our operation, managing effective daily communication between customers, external suppliers, and our production team in the workshop. This role is responsible for the full cycle: Taking the inquiry, reading drawings, quoting, ordering through to customer collection/ delivery.

Serving as the central point of contact for service, sales, and our production team.

Trade background strongly preferred. Sheet metal fabricator or boilermaker, you already know what drives cost and where jobs go sideways. That instinct is worth more to us than a sales playbook.

You should know:

• Cutting, forming, welding (MIG / TIG) and finishing - and what each costs in hours
• Carbon steel, stainless and aluminium: grades, gauges, tolerances, how they behave
• Drawings, weld symbols, takeoffs - and when a drawing is missing a dimension
• Cost drivers: setup vs run time, weld length, finishing, freight

You will need:

• 2 years in metal sales, estimating or industrial sales. Ability to read shop drawings, clean communication and real follow through
