Job summary

Talkcargo is seeking a Freight Operations Specialist to join our team in Maroochydore, Queensland on a full-time basis. You will coordinate shipments across air, sea, road, and rail, prepare essential documentation, and liaise with carriers and brokers to ensure timely deliveries.

The role demands 2+ years of freight forwarding or cargo operations experience, strong knowledge of shipping procedures and customs, and proficiency with Cargowise and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in freight forwarding or cargo operations.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs regulations.
• Experience with freight forwarding software (Cargowise) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage freight shipments through all stages of forwarding.
• Prepare and process shipping documents (air waybills, bills of lading, invoices, customs declarations).
• Liaise with carriers, customs brokers and logistics partners to arrange transport and resolve issues.
• Track shipment progress and provide clients with updates on delivery status.
• Manage freight bookings and capacity planning across air, sea, road and rail.
• Resolve logistical challenges and discrepancies, including delays and damaged shipments.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clients to confirm requirements and ensure satisfaction.
