Job summary

Synergie Australia is seeking multiple Freight Handlers / Dockhands for ongoing opportunities at Melbourne Airport, VIC. You will unload freight, move cartons to conveyors, and sort freight while maintaining safety and efficiency across a busy warehouse environment.

Successful applicants will work Monday to Friday with AM or PM shifts, join a supportive team, and benefit from weekly pay, with penalties for shift work and immediate starts available.

Qualifications

• Be physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling tasks.
• Able to safely lift and move items up to 25kg.
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
• Own transport to Melbourne Airport is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight and cartons from containers.
• Move cartons and freight onto conveyor belts.
• Sort freight into designated cages and areas.
• Manual handling and lifting up to 25kg.
• Move freight safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
• Assist with general dockhand and warehouse duties.
• Follow site safety and manual handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily operational requirements.

Synergie is seeking multiple Freight Handlers / Dockhands for ongoing opportunities with our client, a busy freight and logistics operation located at Melbourne Airport, VIC.

What you will be required to do

• Unloading freight and cartons from containers.


• Moving cartons and freight onto conveyor belts.


• Sorting freight into designated cages and areas.


• Manual handling and lifting of items up to 25kg.


• Moving freight safely and efficiently throughout the facility.


• Assisting with general dockhand and warehouse duties.


• Following all site safety and manual handling procedures.


• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment.


• Working as part of a team to meet daily operational requirements.

To be successful in the role you will

• Be physically fit and comfortable performing repetitive manual handling duties.


• Be capable of safely lifting and moving items weighing up to 25kg.


• Have a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.


• Have your own reliable transport to get to and from Melbourne Airport.


• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


• Be available to work AM or PM shifts, Monday to Friday.


• Have good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.


• Have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.


• Previous experience as a Dockhand, Freight Handler, Freight Sorter, Container Unloader or Warehouse Labourer will be highly regarded.
