Job summary

ASC Pty Ltd is seeking a Freight Advisor to manage domestic and international freight, transport and warehousing activities supporting project supply chains. You will oversee freight forwarders, transport providers and third-party warehousing partners to ensure safe, efficient and compliant delivery of materials and equipment for defence projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in freight, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international freight operations (road, sea, air).
• Experience managing freight providers, forwarders, transport contractors or 3PLs.
• Understanding of import/export, customs and international shipping.
• Knowledge of transport regulations and dangerous goods compliance.
• Analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience identifying logistics process improvements and using logistics software and MS Office.
• Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee domestic and international freight activities across road, sea and air transport.
• Manage performance of freight forwarders, transport contractors and warehouse providers.
• Develop and implement logistics solutions for project delivery requirements.
• Ensure freight activities comply with regulatory and organisational requirements.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, the Freight Advisor will be responsible for the operational management and coordination of freight, transport and warehousing activities supporting project supply chain requirements. This role will oversee domestic and international logistics solutions through the effective management of freight forwarders, transport providers and third-party warehousing partners.

Working within a dynamic and growing environment, you will play a key role in ensuring materials and equipment are transported, stored and delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements, while contributing to the development of scalable logistics capability that supports future growth.

Responsibilities

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in freight, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international freight operations, including road, sea and air transportation.
• Experience managing freight providers, freight forwarders, transport contractors and/or third-party logistics partners.
• Sound understanding of import/export requirements, customs processes and international shipping requirements.
• Knowledge of transport regulations, dangerous goods requirements and supply chain compliance obligations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience identifying and implementing logistics process improvements.
• Proficiency in logistics systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
