Job summary

ASC, Australia's submarine company, invites applications for a Warehouse Operator/Materials Handler at Henderson, WA. The role supports the Collins Class Submarine maintenance program with a focus on accurate goods receipt, stock control, and efficient warehousing processes.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years in warehousing, RF system experience, a valid LF forklift licence, and strong communication and time-management skills. DG store operations experience is highly regarded.

• Maintain stock information in the internal database.
• Maintain high housekeeping and OH&S practices.
• Work as part of a team and communicate with internal and external personnel.

About the Opportunity

A fixed-term opportunity exists for an experienced Warehouse Operator to join our warehouse team in Henderson, Western Australia, as a Materials Handler. The successful applicant will be responsible for a broad range of warehousing and material handling activities, playing a key role in supporting the Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) maintenance program for the Australian Defence Force, as well as contributing to the successful delivery of other ASC projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Accurate checking, receipt and conformance of all Warehousing deliveries.
• Stock transfer and put away of stock to ensure efficient storage of materials.
• Picking and issuing of stock to internal and external customers.

• Use of internal database to accurately maintain stock information.

• Working as part of a team and regularly communicating with internal and external personnel.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within warehousing and logistics, and preferably the ability to gain a valid Defence Security Clearance.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a warehousing and logistics role.
• Previous experience working with a RF system.
• Valid High Risk Licence – Forklift (LF) and experience in operating a forklift.
• The ability to effectively communicate with internal and external staff, as well as key stakeholders.
• Familiarity and working knowledge of stock control databases and systems.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as strong time management skills.
• Applicants with demonstrated experience in Dangerous Goods (DG) store operations and inventory management will be highly regarded.

Eligibility
