Job summary

SeaLink K'gari is seeking a dedicated Cook to join the Kingfisher Bay Resort kitchen on K’gari (Fraser Island). You will prepare, cook and plate meals across Sand & Wood, Dune and Sand Bar outlets, following menu guidelines and brand standards.

Work alongside Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain top quality, hygiene and safety. Previous resort kitchen experience and a commercial cookery qualification are preferred; training and career development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or equivalent).
• Food Safety course essential; RSA desirable.
• High-volume, multi-outlet resort/kitchen experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Positive attitude with good communication and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve general meals across resort outlets according to menu guidelines and chef direction.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, food safety and WH&S standards in the kitchen.
• Support quality, presentation and timely delivery of meals per company policies.
• Collaborate with Food & Beverage Attendants, Apprentices and kitchen staff.
• Assist with stock management, stocktakes and event-driven kitchen setup across outlets.
