Job summary

Advanced Design Technology Pty Ltd in Fyshwick, Canberra, is seeking an FPGA Engineer to join a small, multidisciplinary team developing FPGA-based systems for communications and signal processing. You will work across architecture, RTL, simulation, timing closure and hardware bring-up.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with software, RF and electronics engineers to deliver complete working systems and to work with high-speed interfaces and DDR4/SERDES technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of digital logic and synchronous design fundamentals.
• Aptitude in RTL development, preferably SystemVerilog.
• Experience with AMD Xilinx and/or Intel FPGA platforms.
• Emphasis on simulation, verification and timing analysis.
• Enjoy debugging hard problems and hardware understanding.
• Willing to learn unfamiliar devices and technologies.
• Experience with source control and disciplined engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement FPGA architectures and RTL using SystemVerilog.
• Develop real-time signal-processing and high-throughput data paths.
• Integrate FPGA logic with processors, software, RF and hardware.
• Develop and debug DDR4, SERDES and high-speed interfaces.
• Create simulation environments and testbenches to verify RTL designs.
• Perform FPGA implementation, timing analysis, optimisation and closure.
• Bring designs up on real hardware and diagnose cross-domain issues.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to deliver complete systems.
