Job summary

Motion Recruitment in Adelaide is seeking a Junior FPGA/Embedded Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team. You’ll work across FPGA design, embedded C/C++ software, and real-time systems on advanced electronic products developed locally and for global markets.

The role features a full development lifecycle, from concept through testing to production, with a collaborative environment and flexible arrangements within an Adelaide-based team.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 1-3 years' commercial experience in FPGA and/or embedded software development.
• Strong FPGA development experience using VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Experience developing embedded software in C/C++.
• Solid understanding of digital design, signal processing and real-time embedded systems.
• Experience implementing Linux drivers and network stacks for FPGA-based systems.
• Exposure to Embedded Linux, RTOS, firmware development, or experience within regulated industries such as medical devices, defence or aerospace will be highly regarded.

About the Opportunity

I'm partnering with an innovative technology company based in Adelaide that is looking to add a Junior FPGA / Embedded Software Engineer to its growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of advanced embedded systems, FPGA solutions and real time software used in sophisticated electronic products. You'll play a key role throughout the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, release and ongoing product support.
