Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Digital Architect for their Australian design services practice. The role focuses on developing digital architectures for complex projects and providing technical leadership across FPGA, embedded software, hardware and systems teams.

You will translate client requirements into robust solutions, drive system integration and verification, and mentor engineers while engaging directly with customers to communicate design directions.

Qualifications

• Strong background in digital engineering, FPGA and/or embedded systems at an architectural level.
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience in requirements analysis and technical documentation.
• Technical leadership and client-facing engineering experience.

Our client is an established Australian design services consultancy, headquartered in Adelaide, delivering complex engineering and technology solutions to clients across Australia.

They are looking for an experienced Digital Architect to join their engineering team and work across a range of technically challenging projects.

The Role As a Digital Architect, you will be responsible for developing digital architectures and technical solutions for complex engineering projects. You will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing technical leadership from initial requirements through to design, implementation and verification.

Key Responsibilities

• Define digital and system architectures for complex projects.
• Translate customer requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Work closely with FPGA, embedded software, hardware and systems engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance.
• Contribute to digital and FPGA design, integration and verification.
• Review designs and provide technical recommendations.
• Engage directly with customers and communicate technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

About You

You will have a strong background in digital engineering, FPGA and/or embedded systems, with experience working at an architectural or system level.

Ideally, you will have experience with:

• Digital architecture and system-level design.
• FPGA-based digital systems.
• VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Digital hardware and embedded systems.
• System integration, verification and validation.
• Requirements analysis and technical documentation.
• Technical leadership and client-facing engineering.

Experience within a design consultancy or engineering services environment would be highly advantageous.
