Thrive Early Learning Mount Evelyn is seeking a Room Leader to guide the day-to-day operations of your room, set high educational standards, and build strong connections with families. Join our founding team as the centre opens, shaping welcoming spaces and a positive team culture from day one.

You will lead planning, deliver and evaluate programs aligned to Learning for Life Curriculum and EYLF, monitor quality across observations and records, and ensure compliance with education laws.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, ACECQA approved.
• Current Working with Children Check for the state the role is based in
• Current First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding requirements
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members
• Previous experience in a Room Leader or senior educator role (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of educational programs guided by the Learning for Life Curriculum, the Early Years Learning Framework and children's interests
• Monitor and support the quality of observations, documentation and planning across your room
• Champion child safety, maintain strong knowledge of child protection and mandatory reporting obligations, and respond appropriately to any concern
• Ensure room practice complies with the Education and Care Services National Law, the National Regulations, the National Quality Standard and Thrive policies
• Support the Thrive Quality Framework and your centre's Quality Improvement Plan, and keep the room ready for Assessment and Rating
• Coach and support educators, trainees and students, and help new team members settle in
• Keep families informed and respond to feedback professionally
• Make sure observations, documentation and compliance records are accurate and on time
