Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland is seeking two dedicated Practitioners to lead Foster & Kinship care support in Gympie. You will recruit, train and assess carers to meet the needs of children and young people in OOHC, delivering tailored care strategies across developmental stages.

These permanent full-time roles (76 hours per fortnight) are based at our Gympie service, with opportunities to travel within the region and provide on-call support as required for flexible, child-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current National Police Check
• Current Blue Card
• Current Licenced Care Service (LCS)
• Current Queensland Driver Licence
• Ability and willingness to travel within the service region
• Ability and willingness to work outside of standard business hours and provide on-call support as required

Responsibilities

• Forge impactful relationships with children and youth, applying micro-therapeutic techniques to foster resilience and a deeper understanding of their backgrounds.
• Evaluate the strengths and potential risks in care placements, empowering Foster and Kinship Carers with the essential skills to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to craft and execute bespoke therapeutic interventions for individuals and carers, considering the unique needs across developmental phases from infancy to 17 years
