Job summary

Delos Data Inc is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to be embedded with a strategic customer. You will solve deployment and operational challenges in production AI infrastructure, working hands-on inside the customer's environment.

You will bring field experience to future pursuits, including RFPs, technical evaluations, and new deployments, while collaborating with our engineering team on feature delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a hands-on infrastructure engineering role with customer exposure.
• Experience deploying and operating AI data center infrastructure including GPU/XPU clusters and job scheduling.
• Strong software problem-solving with debugging distributed systems and scripting in Python/Bash.
• Hands-on with AI infra software such as Kubernetes, Slurm, Tinkerbell, Canonical MaaS, and observability stacks.
• Deep proficiency with Linux, containers, and APIs.
• Track record of partnering with engineering teams to ship field-driven features.
• Excellent communication and willingness to travel/on-site.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner for a strategic customer's production deployment.
• Work hands-on in the customer’s AI data center environment (GPU/XPU clusters, high-speed fabrics).
• Lead integration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for production issues.
• Guide upgrades, cluster expansion, and new feature rollouts.
• Build runbooks, integration guides, and automation for the customer.
• Develop reference architectures and technical collateral.
• Represent the company at customer engagements and workshops.
• Write and test code (Python, Bash, APIs) to prototype fixes and tooling.
