Morson Edge Australia is seeking reliable carpenters to join our formwork team on Gold Coast commercial projects. You will work with timber and modular formwork systems, interpreting detailed plans and collaborating with site teams to meet deadlines while upholding strict safety standards.

This role offers consistent, long-term work with opportunities to build experience on major commercial developments and enhance your carpentry skills in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of formwork carpentry experience.
• Construction White Card held.
• Own tools and reliable transport.
• Ability to read plans/drawings and work from them.
• Experience on large commercial projects is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Construct, install, and dismantle timber and modular formwork systems for commercial concrete structures.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Set out and assemble formwork for slabs, columns, walls, and suspended decks.
• Ensure formwork is level, aligned and structurally sound prior to pours.
• Strip and clean formwork and prepare materials for reuse.
• Maintain compliance with site safety requirements on commercial projects.

This established formwork contractor specialises solely in commercial construction, partnering with major builders to deliver formwork services across mid-rise and high-rise developments, retail centres, and large commercial structures throughout the Gold Coast.

With a strong pipeline of commercial projects scheduled for 2026 and beyond, the company is expanding its workforce and looking for reliable carpenters who take pride in delivering high-quality work within structured commercial environments.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will carry out a range of formwork duties on active commercial construction sites. The role involves working with timber and engineered formwork systems, interpreting detailed plans, and working collaboratively with site teams to meet project deadlines while maintaining strict safety standards.

This position offers consistent, long-term work for dependable candidates and the chance to build experience on major commercial developments.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and dismantle timber and modular formwork systems for commercial concrete structures.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Set out and assemble formwork for slabs, columns, walls, and suspended decks.
• Ensure formwork is level, aligned, and structurally sound prior to concrete pours.
• Strip and clean formwork following curing and prepare materials for reuse.
• Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements on commercial sites.

Requirements

• Previous experience in formwork carpentry (minimum 1 year preferred).
• Construction White Card.
• Own tools and reliable transport.
• Ability to work from plans and within structured commercial site environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Experience on large commercial projects highly regarded.
