Job summary
Allstar Infrastructure Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Formworker to join our civil infrastructure team across Queensland. You will be hands-on with formwork construction, installation and dismantling for concrete structures, working closely with engineers, supervisors and other trades to ensure safety and quality.
The ideal candidate has formwork experience, a strong understanding of formwork systems, set-out, levels and concrete placement.

- Knowledge of formwork systems, bracing and concrete placement.
- Safety-focused with attention to quality.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install and dismantle formwork for concrete structures.
- Read and interpret drawings, plans and formwork details.
- Set out formwork to required dimensions, levels and grade.
- Prepare reinforcement and related components as needed.
- Ensure formwork is braced, supported and secure before concrete pours.
- Strip and dismantle formwork after curing and clean up site.

We are looking for an experienced Formworker to join our growing team and work across civil infrastructure projects throughout Queensland.
This is a hands-on construction role responsible for the preparation, construction and installation of formwork for concrete structures associated with civil, water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Working closely with Supervisors, Foremen, Engineers and other site personnel, you will play an important role in ensuring concrete structures are constructed safely, accurately and to the required quality and specifications.
The successful candidate will have experience in civil construction formwork, with a strong understanding of formwork systems, set-out, levels, reinforcement interfaces and concrete placement.
This is a casual position, with work based across project sites. There is an opportunity to go Fulltime for the right applicant

- Construct, install and dismantle formwork for concrete structures and civil infrastructure.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications and formwork details.
- Set out formwork accurately to required dimensions, levels, line and grade.
- Construct formwork for pits, manholes, headwalls, culverts, drainage structures, chambers, walls, slabs and other concrete structures.
- Work closely with Engineers, Supervisors and other trades to ensure formwork is constructed correctly and efficiently.
- Assist with the preparation and installation of reinforcement and other components where required.
- Ensure formwork is adequately braced, supported and secured prior to concrete placement.
- Check dimensions, levels, alignment and tolerances before concrete pours.
- Assist with concrete pours, including preparation, placement, vibration and finishing as required.
- Strip and dismantle formwork safely following concrete placement and curing requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment and formwork materials in good working condition.
- Identify and report construction issues, defects or discrepancies before concrete placement.
- Work efficiently to meet project programmes and daily production targets.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.
- Follow all company, client and project-specific safety, quality and environmental requirements.
- Previous experience as a Formworker, Carpenter or Civil Formworker.
- Demonstrated experience working on civil construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience constructing formwork for concrete structures such as pits, walls, slabs, culverts, headwalls and drainage structures.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of formwork construction, bracing, support and safe work practices.
- Good understanding of levels, measurements, dimensions and set-out.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a construction team.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to take ownership of your work.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding construction environment.
- White Card - Essential.
- Australian Current driver's licence - Desirable.
- Relevant trade qualification or experience in carpentry/formwork is highly desirable.
