Job summary

Domestic Freight Express is seeking experienced Linehaul Forklift Operators for PM shifts at our Truganina and Larapinta depots. The role involves safely loading/unloading interstate linehaul trailers and consolidating palletised freight to maximise trailer utilisation.

You will handle weight distribution, load restraint and CoR compliance, accurately scanning freight, and reporting discrepancies while maintaining a clean, safe warehouse. Competitive pay and long-term employment offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in linehaul loading operations.
• Current LF Forklift Licence.
• Experience loading semi trailers and B-Doubles.
• Sound understanding of Mass Management, weight distribution and load restraint requirements.
• Experience handling and consolidating mixed palletised freight.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload interstate linehaul trailers.
• Consolidate palletised freight to maximise trailer utilisation.
• Ensure correct weight distribution, load restraint and Chain of Responsibility compliance.
• Accurately scan, sort and allocate freight to the correct destinations.
• Minimise freight damage, loading errors and misdirected consignments.
• Identify and report freight discrepancies or damages.
• Work efficiently to meet scheduled linehaul departure times.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.

We are currently seeking experienced Linehaul Forklift Operators to join our PM operations teams at our Truganina and Larapinta depots.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in linehaul loading operations.

• Current LF Forklift Licence.

• Experience loading semi trailers and B-Doubles.

• Sound understanding of Mass Management, weight distribution and load restraint requirements.

• Experience handling and consolidating mixed palletised freight.
