Job summary

Tas Connect Logistics, based at Derrimut, VIC, seeks a Forklift Operator / Interstate Loader to load/unload freight for interstate linehaul and local PUD trucks. The role suits a motivated person with forklift experience and a safety-first mindset, working shifts with possible Saturday work.

You will be responsible for staging freight, loading trailers, and scanning to locations, contributing to on-time departures in a busy operation.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence (essential).
• Experience loading/unloading in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow a post code sheet to ensure staged freight is put in the correct bays.
• Experience in load restraint (straps, ratchets, dogs & chains).
• Ability to maximise linehaul trailer capacity.

Responsibilities

• AM (6am start) or PM (6pm finish) - Monday to Friday with possible Saturday work.
• Efficiently and safely load and unload general freight from PUD trucks and trailers.
• Loading a variety of general and express freight onto Linehaul trailers.
• Scanning freight into specific locations prior to loading.
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment to ensure departure times are met.

Tas Connect Logistics specialises in general and time-sensitive pallet freight to and from Tasmania and mainland Australia, servicing a wide variety of industries.

Due to continued growth, we seek a Forklift Operator / Interstate Loader based at our Derrimut depot for an immediate start.

The ideal candidate will have experience loading and unloading interstate linehaul trailers and local PUD trucks.This opportunity is best suited to a motivated individual who has proven experience in loading multiple trailers daily.

What you will be doing?

• AM (6am start) or PM (6pm finish) - Monday to Friday with Possible Saturday work
• Efficiently and safely load and unload general freight from PUD trucks and trailers
• Loading a variety of general and express freight onto Linehaul trailers
• Scanning freight into specific locations prior to loading
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment to ensure departure times are met

• Current forklift licence (essential)
• Previous experience in a similar role and a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow a post code sheet to ensure staged freight is put in the correct bays
• Experience in load restraint (straps, ratchets, dogs & chains)
