Job summary

Visy is hiring a reliable Forklift Operator for our Beverage Can plant in Yatala, QLD. You will spend most of your shift on a counterbalance forklift, moving materials to support production in a fast-paced can manufacturing environment.

This day-shift role involves loading/unloading coils, moving production bins, and safely handling dangerous goods. You’ll work with a safety-minded, team-oriented crew and have opportunities for training and career growth within Visy.

Qualifications

• Valid LF forklift licence required.
• Experience with counterbalance forklifts in fast-paced settings.
• Safety-focused with reliable, team-first attitude.
• 16-tonne forklift experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift for the majority of the shift.
• Unload large aluminium coils from trucks at site entry.
• Load scrap metal containers.
• Run production bins to and from manufacturing lines.
• Move dangerous goods, including acids, safely by forklift.
• Assist with packaging and support operators as needed.

About the opportunity:

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join the team at our Beverage Can plant based in Yatala, QLD. This isn't a traditional warehouse role. You'll be working in a fast-paced can manufacturing environment, spending most of your day on a counterbalance forklift and keeping materials moving to support production.

• Shift Details: Day shift only – 8-hour shifts (6am to 2pm)

What you'll do:

• Operate a counterbalance forklift for the majority of the shift, including long tines when required
• Unload large aluminium coils from trucks at the front end of site
• Load scrap metal containers
• Run production bins to and from the manufacturing lines
• Move dangerous goods, including acid, safely by forklift in line with site procedures
• Assist with packaging and support operators where needed

What You Will Bring:

• Valid Forklift Licence (LF)
• Solid counterbalance forklift experience
• Experience operating a 16-tonne forklift highly regarded (not essential)
• A strong safety mindset, reliability and a team-first attitude
