Job summary

Visy Group in Queensland (Yatala) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the board facility maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will service corrugators, feeders, rotary die cutters and a flex fold machine on a 10-hour day shift (6:00am–4:00pm) with two hours OT, in a full-time role.

You will conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and work as part of a cohesive team while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or related field.
• Experience as a fitter in packaging or FMCG environment is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaborative maintenance skills.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be part of a high performing team responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment such as Corrugators, Automated Feeders, Rotary Die cutters, Flex Fold machine at our Board Facility in Yatala.

• Full-time Day shift: 6:00am to 4.00pm (10hr shift with 2 hours being at OT rate)
• Rate:$50p/hr + shift loading + overtime
• From January 2027 a 4week roster will begin (Days x3 weeks then Afternoons x1)
• Location: Visy Yatala Board

What you will bring to the team:

• Trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting or a related field.
• Fitter experience in a packaging or FMCG environment.
• Highly focused troubleshoot skills and 'follow up' approach to maintenance tasks.
• Good communication and collaborative approach with all trades within the Maintenance team.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and “get the best job done” approach every day.
