Job summary

FBT Transwest in Smithfield NSW is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join the warehouse team. This full-time role supports safe and efficient movement, storage and handling of DG and non-DG goods within our operation.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will operate forklifts, manage inventory movements, and work with warehouse, transport and yard teams while upholding our safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is required.
• Minimum 2 years forklift experience in warehouse/logistics.
• Experience handling DG products is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely in a busy warehouse.
• Load, unload, move and store goods ensuring integrity.
• Handle DG and non-DG materials per procedures.
• Complete inventory movements and assist stocktakes.
• Follow WHS procedures and report hazards or incidents.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse, transport and yard teams.
• Perform general warehouse duties as required.

About the Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Operating forklifts safely and efficiently within a busy warehouse environment
• Loading, unloading, moving and storing goods while ensuring product integrity
• Handling DG and non-DG materials in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements
• Completing accurate inventory movements and assisting with stocktakes
• Following all workplace health and safety procedures and reporting hazards or incidents
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
• Working collaboratively with warehouse, transport and yard teams
• Performing general warehouse duties as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current and valid forklift licence
• Minimum 2 years’ forklift experience within a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment
• Experience handling DG products (highly desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• A strong commitment to safe work practices and following procedures
