Job summary

Everest Harvesting Group Pty Ltd, Cobbitty NSW, is seeking a permanent, full-time Forklift Driver. The role ensures safe and efficient movement of palletised goods, nursery stock, and agricultural inputs, maintaining stock integrity from production to dispatch in line with site traffic management plans and safety standards.

The successful candidate will hold a current HRW Licence - Class LF, have 1–2 years forklift experience in high-volume environments, and contribute to warehouse operations

Qualifications

• 1–2 years forklift operation in warehouse, nursery, or horticultural settings.
• Must have HRW Licence - Class LF for forklift operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely stack and unstack pallets; ensure loads are secured.
• Coordinate loading/unloading of heavy vehicles with compliant weight distribution.
• Move stock between nurseries, sheds, and climate-controlled areas.
• Stage orders for delivery and verify stock against notes.

POSITION PURPOSE The Forklift Driver at Everest Harvesting Group Pty Ltd is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, stacking, and loading of palletised goods, nursery stock, and agricultural inputs. This role ensures the integrity of stock during transit and maintains a fluid supply chain between production, storage, and dispatch areas while strictly adhering to site traffic management plans and Australian safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• Load Handling: Safely stack and unstack pallets using appropriate attachments (e.g., tines, side shifters, or rotators). Ensure loads are balanced and secured before transit.
• Loading & Unloading: Coordinate the loading and unloading of heavy vehicles (trucks and containers), ensuring weight distribution is compliant with transport regulations.
• Inventory Movement: Transport plant stock and materials across nurseries, sheds, and climate controlled areas according to inventory labels.
• Dispatch Support: Stage orders for delivery, verify consignment notes against physical stock, and apply appropriate load restraints.

Equipment Maintenance & Safety

• Pre-start Inspections: Complete mandatory daily pre-start checklists; identify and report any mechanical defects or hydraulic leaks immediately.
• Safe Navigation: Operate vehicles in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or high-traffic zones, maintaining constant situational awareness.

Compliance & Housekeeping

• WHS Adherence: Maintain 100% compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards and company-specific Traffic Management Plans (TMP).
• Work Area Integrity: Ensure travel paths and emergency exits remain clear of debris. Assist in periodic stocktakes and cycle counts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & LICENSING

• Mandatory Licence: Current and valid High-Risk Work (HRW) Licence - Class LF (Forklift Truck).
• Education: Primary/Secondary education or a relevant AQF Certificate II or III (e.g., Certificate in Warehousing or Supply Chain Operations).
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of proven experience operating forklifts in high-volume warehouse, nursery, or horticultural environments.
