Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action in Victoria seeks a District Forest and Fire Planning Officer to lead planning across forest and fire management, including burns, fuel management, roads and recreation. Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering fuel, road, track, recreation and environmental asset maintenance/improvement programs.
• Contractor management skills including procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans guiding on-ground forest and fire management activities across Victoria.
• Coordinate planned burns, fuel management, roading and forest health programs.
• Collaborate with operational teams and stakeholders to turn ideas into practical outcomes.
