As a District Forest and Fire Planning Officer, you'll work with a team of planning specialists to develop the plans that guide on-ground forest and fire management activities across Victoria. From planned burns and fuel management to roading, recreation and forest health programs, your work will help ensure the right projects are delivered in the right places.
This is a role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data and mapping systems, and collaborating with operational teams and stakeholders to turn ideas into practical outcomes.
Bushfire and Forest Services manages 3.2 million hectares of state forest and plays a critical role in preparing for and responding to emergencies across Victoria. We work in local communities across the state and make a real difference to the people, places and environments we serve.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2028. The work location for this position is 5338 Great Alpine Road, Ovens (Ovens Office).
