Job summary

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action is inviting applications for a Forest and Fire Operations Officer – Field Team Leader in Bright, Victoria. You will lead field work delivery teams, coordinate operations across state forests and national parks, and drive forest management and fire prevention initiatives.

Applicants should have capability to attain Crew Leader/Operations Officer Level 1 accreditation and be prepared for deployment across the state, including challenging

Qualifications

• Experience leading field work delivery teams is desirable.
• Sound knowledge of forest management/forest operations.
• Ability to achieve accreditation and maintain competencies in Crew Leader/Operations Officer Level 1.

Responsibilities

• Lead work groups, coordinate operations and ensure effectiveness of work centres.
• Plan, direct and coordinate activities across forest management and fire prevention programs.
