ACM Recruitment seeks an Occupational Therapist for forensic mental health in Ravenhall, Melbourne. You will work in a secure prison setting within a multidisciplinary team, delivering assessments and therapeutic interventions to support recovery and rehabilitation.

Applicants should hold OT registration (AHPRA), be eligible for OT Australia membership, and demonstrate experience in trauma-informed, person-centred care. Full-time permanent position with professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Membership or eligibility for Occupational Therapy Australia.
• Ideally 5+ years in mental health OT.
• Experience facilitating individual/group interventions.
• Strong functional assessment, clinical reasoning and rehabilitation skills.
• Experience contributing to multidisciplinary care planning.
• Excellent communication and clinical documentation.
• Commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, person-centred practice.
• Willingness to work within a secure correctional environment.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy and functional assessments.
• Plan, facilitate and evaluate individual and group interventions.
• Support patients to develop daily living skills, independence and meaningful engagement.
• Deliver recovery-oriented rehabilitation programs tailored to needs.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary assessments and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and other stakeholders to support continuity of care and discharge planning.
• Provide trauma-informed, person-centred care in a secure clinical environment.
• Engage in service improvement, supervision and professional development.
• Support OT students and developing clinicians where appropriate.
