Job summary

Forensicare, Victoria’s specialist forensic mental health service, provides care across inpatient, community and prison settings, delivering recovery‑oriented services that integrate hope and social inclusion.

The Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator will provide educational leadership and strategic direction for professional development of occupational therapists, delivering a comprehensive continuing education program for students, graduates, and experienced staff.

About the Role

TheOccupational Therapy Clinical Educatorprovides educational leadership and strategic direction for the professional development, training, education, research, and ongoing practice development of occupational therapists at Forensicare. This role ensures the delivery of a comprehensive program of continuing professional education tailored to student and graduate occupational therapists, as well as experienced practitioners and managers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leads the design, delivery and evaluation of continuing professional education for occupational therapists at Forensicare.
• Coordinate student placements and strengthen university partnerships.
• Provide clinical supervision, consultation and professional support.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary education, workforce initiatives and research.
• Help shape the future of occupational therapy practice in forensic mental health.

About You:

• Proven ability to plan, implement and evaluate professional development, training and education programs.

• A passion for learning, innovation and recovery-oriented practice.

What you need:

• Approved degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).
• Additional qualifications in Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment would be an advantage.
• The successful candidate will be required to register their qualifications on eCredential
