Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking Psychologist or Specialist Psychologist for Junee Correctional Centre in regional NSW. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans and support rehabilitation within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasises evidence-based practice, professional development, and opportunities to lead and mentor colleagues in specialist psychology services at a regional facility.

Qualifications

• Evidence-based psychological practice in rehabilitation and correctional settings.
• Strong clinical judgement and professional integrity.
• Excellent communication with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and criminogenic risk evaluations to inform rehabilitation.
• Develop case plans and behaviour management strategies with custodial staff.
• Provide expert advice on complex mental health and risk-related matters.
• For Specialist Psychologists, opportunities to provide clinical leadership and mentorship.
