Job summary

The Queensland Government is seeking a Senior Psychologist (Prison Mental Health) to deliver high level forensic and clinical psychology services within the Prison Mental Health Services (PMHS) team. You will provide leadership, supervision and clinical input, while contributing to training, research and policy development.

Temporary Full Time 76 hours per fortnight with extension possibilities. Based in Wide Bay, enjoy competitive pay and flexible work arrangements in a regional setting.

Qualifications

• Provide high level clinical and forensic psychology services to adult PMHS clients.
• Deliver professional leadership, consultation, supervision and clinical input.
• Contribute to staff training, skill development and development/review of training, research, policy and clinical practice guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical care within the Prison Mental Health Services team.
• Provide forensic mental health assessment and intervention.
• Support staff development and contribute to policy and guideline updates.
