Job summary

Grounded Earthmoving Group is seeking a Foreman to lead on-site operations in Melbourne, Victoria. You will coordinate crews, plant and subcontractors to deliver works safely, efficiently and to program, acting as the central communication point between crews, clients and project management.

You will drive production outcomes while upholding high standards of quality and compliance, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on civil land development projects.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership on site with safety focus.
• Proven ability to coordinate crews, plant and subcontractors.
• Strong communication across teams and with clients.
• Experience delivering land development/subdivision projects in Victoria.
• Solid understanding of civil construction including earthworks and drainage.
• Ability to manage resources and maintain program.
• Commitment to profitable, high-quality project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site operations in line with program, safety and quality requirements.
• Manage labour, plant and subcontractors to hit production targets.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives and progress.
• Maintain site diaries and documentation; sign and code plant hires and dockets.
• Ensure all personnel hold valid White Cards and are inducted.
• Deliver toolbox talks, pre-starts and ongoing safety communication.
• Monitor subcontractor performance to meet program and quality standards.
• Promote teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.

Job description

As Foreman, you will play a key leadership role on site — coordinating people, plant and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to program. You'll be the central point of communication between crews, clients and project management, driving production outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily site operations, ensuring works align with program, safety and quality requirements
• Manage labour, plant and subcontractors to achieve production targets
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate objectives, progress and expectations
• Maintain accurate site diaries and documentationSign and code all plant hire, materials and labour dockets
• Ensure all personnel hold valid White Cards, are inducted and have signed the site register
• Deliver toolbox talks, daily pre-starts and ongoing safety communication
• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure program and quality standards are met
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement
