Job summary

Estrana Civil is seeking a Civil Construction Foreman to lead on subdivision and infrastructure projects in Queensland. You will supervise crews, coordinate subcontractors and ensure works align with drawings, specifications and programmes.

You will prioritise safety, quality and environmental controls, read engineering drawings, plan daily activities and maintain site records. A current driver’s licence and industry tickets are required, with opportunities to own site outcomes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating daily civil construction activities across subdivision and infrastructure projects.
• Managing site personnel, plant, equipment and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Planning daily and weekly activities in line with construction programs and project priorities.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and set-out information.
• Monitoring productivity, material usage and workmanship to maintain quality and minimise unnecessary costs.
• Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, environmental controls and project-specific safety documentation.
• Completing daily pre-starts, site diaries, timesheets, checklists and other construction records.
• Identifying and resolving site issues, coordinating with the Project Manager and communicating potential delays or variations.
• Coordinating inspections, testing and hold points to ensure works meet the required standards.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional construction site.

About you

Demonstrated experience as a Civil Construction Foreman or Leading Hand ready to take the next step.

A strong understanding of earthworks, stormwater, sewer, water, roadworks and associated civil construction activities.

The ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and construction specifications.

Proven leadership skills, with the ability to organise crews, coordinate subcontractors and maintain productivity.

A strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

A current driver's licence and relevant construction industry tickets and competencies.

A practical, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently while keeping the Project Manager informed.
