Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking a capable Site/Project Supervisor in NSW to oversee the completion of a multi-million dollar refurbishment project from handover. The role requires working within live environments and coordinating with the Construction Manager and PM team.

The position is a 2IC role, offering regional travel to Northern Rivers or North Coast regions after the initial six-month program. Accommodation and travel expenses are covered as needed.

Job Description

The Company

• You will be joining a mid-tier builder that has been operating in the Australian market for over 60 years.

• Sectors covered include Aged Care, Government and general commercial refurbishment projects valued up to $40M (the initial project will be a $12M+ educational refurbishment in the Armidale area).

Position

• Reporting to a Construction Manager and Site Manager locally, you will help oversee the completion of the project through to handover.
• This is a 2IC role that will suit someone who is able to work collaboratively within a team but still enjoys managing sites independently.
• The program has has six months to run, after which the work will be either in the Northern Rivers or North Coast region.
• Scopes will typically include heavy refurbishment works to existing premises in live environments, with some new build elements.
• Sites may remain operational throughout the build, so the successful candidate will understand how to operate safely in a live environment and effectively manage site safety.
• The Project Management team will be based in Sydney and provide full administration support for the project.
• This is a full-time role with ongoing work following the completion of this project. Being a regional builder, projects may sometimes be 1–3 hours from home.
• In this event, all accommodation, travel and living expenses will be covered.
• Discretionary bonuses are offered for successfully delivered projects.

Salary will be $155K–$165K package, which includes a fully maintained UTE.

Background / Experience

• Trade background with an additional tertiary building qualification advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to have independently delivered projects in excess of $2M or worked as a Supervisor on projects valued at $5M–$10M+.
• Experience working on refurbishment projects within the commercial or education sectors.
• Ability to build relationships and manage personnel to operate cohesively within a team environment.
• Strong technical, planning and programming skills.
• Extensive knowledge of logistical planning in live environments.
• Good safety and company systems management skills.
