Job summary

Mygration Pty Ltd, on behalf of a premium food manufacturer, seeks a Food Technical Manager in Somerville, Victoria. You will oversee product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across operations, driving continuous improvement in taste, texture, and nutritional content.

The role requires a Diploma in Food Technology and 10+ years in QA or food-technical management, with strong analytical skills, knowledge of Food Act, SQF, HACCP and GMPs.

Qualifications

• At least Diploma Qualification in Food Technology.
• 10+ years of experience as Quality Assurance Manager/Food Technical Manager.
• Strong analytical and problems solving capabilities.
• Experience in quality compliance in a manufacturing environment.
• Sound knowledge of the Food Act, SQF, HACCP and GMPs.
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining quality related documents and reports.
• Promoting good manufacturing practices in the workplace.
• Performing standard tests for flavour, colour, taste, texture and nutritional content
• Work on compliance evaluation and quality control report
• Analysing and conducting research to develop theories, techniques and processes, and testing the reliability of outcomes under different conditions
• Managing and developing practical applications of experimental and research findings
• Providing advice on quality and compliance related matters.
• Investigating and recommending solutions for quality issues that may arise.
• Assisting in internal and external audits.
• Developing quality control procedures and safety standards for the manufacture of food products
• Conducting experiments and tests to identify the chemical composition and reactive properties of natural substances and processed materials
