Job summary

Newcastle Meals on Wheels – Food Services Operations Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our food services function. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, you will coordinate kitchen operations, ensure safety compliance, manage records and support operational reporting.

You will work with the Catering Supervisor to drive improvements, oversee stock control and data systems, and support the team with practical leadership and administration.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or food production roles.
• Understanding of food safety and compliance requirements.
• Strong administration and organisational skills.
• Experience using Excel and workplace systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily food production operations.
• Support menu planning and documentation.
• Conduct food safety and quality audits.
• Maintain food safety and operational records.
• Coordinate maintenance and equipment servicing activities.
• Prepare operational reports and maintain data systems.
• Monitor stock control and inventory processes.
• Support implementation of operational improvements.
• Provide operational direction to the food services team.
