Job summary

Calvary is seeking a Support Worker - Catering to create a nourishing and varied dining experience for residents across our facilities in Newcastle–Maitland. You will work under the Chef/Cook to prepare daily meals, accommodate dietary restrictions and cultural preferences, and support food service delivery with care and respect.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise workloads.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
• Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control.
• Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook.
• Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs including dietary requirements and allergies.
• Ensure environment and residents' living areas meet high cleanliness standards.
• Adhere to the National Food Safety Program and maintain food safety records.
