Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a hands-on kitchen team member to help prepare meals and beverages for residents in a welcoming aged care setting. You’ll work with our team to create meals that suit individual residents and support a compassionate community.

You’ll be on your feet most of the shift, with duties including food prep, cleaning, and helping with menu changes under the Food Safety Program. A genuine desire to make a difference is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work; aged care experience is a bonus.
• Good time management and planning skills.
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course.

Responsibilities

About the Role

You’ll wake up each morning wanting to see people enjoy food as much as you do.

Here’s what a typical day involves:

• Prepping food and drink
• Cleaning (including dishes) – you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one
• Changing up the menu. You’ll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift
