Job summary

Sodexo in Ipswich Hospital is seeking a Food Service Assistant for weekend shifts. You'll help prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintain a clean and safe kitchen and dining area, and provide friendly patient-focused service.

You’ll work with a cheerful team during busy service periods, follow recipes, and help ensure meal quality and patient wellbeing. Full training and uniform are provided, with benefits supporting you and your family.

Qualifications

• Basic food-handling knowledge and hygiene awareness.
• Friendly, professional attitude and respect for patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Ability to stay on your feet and work efficiently during busy service periods.
• Passion for delivering tasty, nutritious food with care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and serving of hot and cold meals from counters and steam tables.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and work areas to maintain hygiene standards.
• Follow recipes and product instructions to ensure meal quality.
• Break down and clean stations at the end of service.
