Job summary

Fairfield Boat House in NSW is seeking a friendly Food Runner to help deliver great guest experiences. You’ll serve food and beverages, support table and floor service, and work closely with the kitchen and Front of House team in a busy, community-focused venue.

The role rewards hospitality passion, a positive, energetic attitude, clear communication, and strong teamwork. Weekend/evening availability and Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hospitality, bar, restaurant or customer service experience.
• Weekend/evening/public holiday availability.
• Passion for hospitality and guest experiences.

• Able to stay calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, professional and well-presented.

About the Role

As a Food Runner, you'll play an important role in creating great experiences for our guests. From serving food and beverages and providing friendly table service to supporting wider venue operations, you'll help keep service running smoothly. You'll be part of a supportive team in a busy, community-focused venue where every shift is different.

• Providing table and floor service across the venue
• Maintaining clean, organised and well-presented service areas
• Working closely with the kitchen and wider Front of House team
• Assisting with venue set-up, pack-down and events when required
• Following food safety and venue procedures
• Creating memorable experiences for guests

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 1-year previous hospitality, bar, restaurant or customer service experience.
• Weekend, evening and public holiday availability
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering great guest experiences
• Positive, energetic attitude and willingness to get involved
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, professional and well-presented
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
• Valid Australian working rights
