Job summary

The Star in Sydney invites applications for an Oasis Lounge Shift Supervisor to lead a small team, oversee service flow, and ensure cash handling accuracy while maintaining high standards in a VIP hospitality setting.

You will work with the Venue Manager to set daily objectives, monitor food and beverage quality, and uphold cleanliness. NSW RSA is required, along with strong communication and a proactive, detail‑driven approach. On‑site benefits apply.

Qualifications

• VIP hospitality experience is required.

Oasis Lounge -

Inviting sanctuary away from the hustle & bustle of the Main Gaming Floor. A dedicated pace and serene lounge areas to relax and socialize in comfort.

A few of your responsibilities:

• Supervise a team on shift and assist with training, development and performance management
• Set daily performance objectives for the team and supervise the service flow and performance standards
• Ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed
• Assist the Venue Manager to support achievement of financial and operational targets
• Ensure an open line of communication at all times through daily shift briefings, and ensure a smooth transition and handover between shifts
• Monitor the quality of food & beverages to service to ensure high standards are maintained
• Ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace and coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and materials

What we are looking for:

• Supervisory experience within a VIP hospitality environment including a thorough knowledge of food and beverages
• Exceptional guest service skills with a proactive attitude and natural ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests
• Highly organised and eager, with a high attention to detail
• Flexible availability to meet the venue operating hours
• Current NSW RSA Statement of Attainment
