Job summary

Alivio Tourist Park Canberra – O'Connor ACT is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead our hospitality team in a fast-paced, guest‑facing environment. You will oversee daily ops across outlets, mentor staff, and ensure high service standards while maintaining smooth service flow.

The role requires strong leadership, barista skills, and the ACT RSA certificate, with availability across a rotating roster including peak periods.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality supervisor or senior F&B exposure.
• Strong leadership to support and guide a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervising day-to-day food and beverage operations across multiple outlets.
• Leading, motivating and supporting team members during service.
• Delivering friendly and professional customer service at all times.
• Assisting with staff training, shift coordination and delegation of daily tasks.
• Taking food and beverage orders, serving meals and drinks, and maintaining smooth service flow.
• Preparing coffees and hot beverages to a high standard.
• Operating the bar and ensuring responsible service of alcohol practices are followed.
• Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Assisting with stock control, replenishment and end-of-day procedures.
• Processing payments accurately and supporting efficient venue operations.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic workplace in line with food safety standards.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and customer-focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our hospitality team. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading by example and is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.

As a supervisor, you will support the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, assist with staff coordination and help maintain high service standards across all areas of the venue.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a hospitality supervisor or senior food & beverage role

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and guide a team

• Experience in café, restaurant or bar environments

• Barista experience highly regarded

• Current ACT RSA Certificate — Essential

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable, punctual and flexible with availability across a rotating roster

• Strong work ethic and dependable approach to daily operations

• Full availability during peak periods including school holidays, Christmas and New Year etc
