Job summary

Bannisters Port Stephens is seeking Food & Beverage Attendants to join our vibrant port-side team. You will deliver personalised service in a luxury hospitality setting, working across restaurant spaces and events to create memorable guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have experience in fine dining environments, RSA competency, and a passion for wine and exceptional guest service. A rotating roster including weekends is required, with opportunities across our venues and a supportive team

Qualifications

• Prior experience in an a la carte or high end restaurant environment is essential.
• RSA certificate & NSW Competency Card is essential.
• Wine knowledge (WSET 2) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Curate an unforgettable and personalised service experience for our guests from start to finish.
• Forge relationships with guests and locals to promote clientele loyalty and retention.
• Maximise and identify opportunities to sell products and experiences that suit guests’ needs.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently; handle cash, credit card transactions, and room charges according to hotel policies.
• Ensure the restaurant is presented to a high standard at all times and assist with setup and service of events and private functions.
• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations at all times.

Bannisters Port Stephens have an exciting new opportunity for multiple Food & Beverage Attendants to join our fun & friendly team in Port Stephens, NSW. About Bannisters Port Stephens

Located on Soldiers Point peninsula, the latest addition to the Bannisters brand is a newly constructed resort-style hotel that draws upon ourstrong food tradition. The lush oceanfront grounds are home to several venues, including the approachable fine dining of Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant and contemporary authentic Mexican dishes from Julio’s alongside delicious cocktails by the pool. You will be joining a strong, enthusiastic team who are striving to excel and position Bannisters Port Stephens as a hospitality flagship in the region.

The role and key duties

• Curate an unforgettable and personalised service experience for our guests from start to finish;
• Forge relationships with guests and locals to promote clientele loyalty & retention;
• Maximize and identify opportunities to sell products & experiences that suit the needs of our guests;
• Process payments accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and room charges according to hotel policies;
• Ensure the restaurant is presented to a high standard at all times, oversee the setup and breakdown of dining areas, assist with the setup and service of special events, banquets, and private functions as needed;
• Ensure compliance with the provisions of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations at all times.

Essential criteria required to be considered

• Prior experience in a la carte or high end restaurant environment is essential;
• RSA certificate & NSW Competency Card (essential);
• A genuine love for great food & wine (WSET 2/wine knowledgeadvantageous);
• A talent for customer service with a vibrant and outgoing nature;
• Ability and willingness to commence work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays;
• Reliable transport to get to and from the hotel;
• Be located close to our hotel or be willing to relocate.
