We have exciting opportunities for Chef de Partie professionals to join our passionate culinary teams across Spicers Guesthouse (Éremo Restaurant) in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley, as well as The Convent and Circa 1876. As a member of our wider Salter Brothers Hospitality team, you'll play a key role in creating meaningful experiences for both our guests and teammates through exceptional food, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Spicers Guesthouse has a rich history in the heart of Australia's oldest wine region, the Hunter Valley. Set within the property, Éremo Restaurant delivers a modern Italian dining experience, complemented by an extensive wine list featuring some of the Hunter Valley's finest vintages. Guests can enjoy dining indoors or on the alfresco terrace overlooking the picturesque landscape.
The Convent Hunter Valley is a beautifully restored boutique property known for its elegance and warm hospitality. Home to Circa 1876, one of the region's most celebrated restaurants, the venue is renowned for its seasonal, farm-to-table approach, showcasing the best local produce and estate-grown ingredients. Together, these venues offer a unique culinary environment focused on quality, creativity, and exceptional guest experiences.
Curating an unforgettable and personalised experience for our guests from start to finish;
Deliver all food experiences for the property including: restaurant dining; functions, weddings, events and experiential dining opportunities;
Successfully run your own section during service as directed by the Head Chef;
Contribute to a positive and motivated kitchen atmosphere, and have a genuine passion for people, food and wine;
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards;
Lead by example to ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations;
Work closely with other Chefs to ensure the overall success of your team and the retreat.
Previous experience as a Chef De Partie in a la carte restaurant or high-end dining environment(essential);
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards;
Ability to work across all sections of the kitchen and run your own section;
Ability and willingness to commence work on a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays;
Reliable vehicle to get to and from the retreat;
Be located close to our retreat or be willing to relocate.
