T Toby’s Coffee Melbourne is seeking a casual team member for our Fitzroy cafe. You’ll join our existing crew to deliver top-notch coffee and food, ensuring every cup and plate meets our high standards.

This 15-hour-per-week role (2–3 days) offers learning opportunities, growth potential, and a welcoming guest experience within a celebrated coffee house. If you love coffee and teamwork, join the Toby’s family.

Job description

Toby started roasting in his Mum’s garage in Woolloomooloo nearly 30 years ago, and there’s been a change or two along the way. These days, Toby has left the building, but we've welcomed three new cafes to the fold – Newstead in Brisbane, Fitzroy in Melbourne and an outpost in Singapore, and our Chippendale Flagship cafe won best coffee shop in the world in 2025 (and top 5 in 2026). We’re exploding on the international scene too, not to mention licensees and roasteries in nine countries, and counting. But the DNA hasn’t changed – we are leaders in specialty coffee for a reason.

As leaders in specialty coffee, our standards are high and we believe in training the crew to build with us. We start with good people, with great attitudes - and develop them (sometimes into national champions)!

We are looking for someone who:

• Has hospitality oozing through their veins!
• Wears a smile from ear to ear, someone who loves delivering a high quality of service day-in and day-out - with a passion for coffee to boot.
• Holds a genuine love for coffee and the hospitality industry and is eager to share their knowledge and experience.
• Is enthusiastic, friendly, and able to build strong relationships.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills with staff and guests, remains focused under pressure, and can work effectively at pace when required.

Day to day in this role you will:

This is a casual role, estimated to be working 2-3 days, 15 hours per week at our Fitzroy cafe.
