Toby's Estate Coffee Roasters in Sydney's Chippendale region is seeking a casual cafe cook who thrives in a lively café environment. You will oversee kitchen operations, assist with prep and cooking, and help maintain high standards of food safety and quality.

This casual role is 3-4 days per week, about 24 hours, with potential extra hours. If you are passionate about food and coffee, join our growing team and contribute to an energetic dining experience.

Qualificações

• Experience as a cook in a fast-paced cafe environment.
• Proven ability to prep, cook and plate high-quality cafe offerings.
• Experience leading kitchen activities and liaising with management.

About Us

Toby started roasting in his Mum’s garage in Woolloomooloo nearly 30 years ago, and there’s been a change or two along the way. These days, Toby has left the building, but we've welcomed three new cafes to the fold – Newstead in Brisbane, Fitzroy in Melbourne and an outpost in Singapore, and our Chippendale Flagship cafe won best coffee shop in the world in 2025 (and top 5 in 2026). We’re exploding on the international scene too, not to mention licensees and roasteries in nine countries, and counting. But the DNA hasn’t changed – we are leaders in specialty coffee for a reason.

We are seeking an experienced Cook for our Chippendale location on a casual basis, who has a passion for food and a proven track record in a similar role. You’ll thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment, taking pride in preparing high-quality food while contributing to the kitchen's energy. With your previous cooking experience, you will help to lead the kitchen space, ensuring consistency and quality, while collaborating closely with management to shape the culinary experience at Toby's.
