FMCG Production Leader — CI & Operations

Job summary

NW People partner with a Global leader within the Packaging Manufacturing sector and have an exciting opportunity for a strategic people leader to join their busy operation in Sydney's South West.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will oversee production operations, drive safety and quality, and lead the team to achieve cost targets and continuous improvement across shifts. You will implement improvement initiatives and foster a high-performing, customer-focused culture.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years' experience managing production in a large FMCG environment.
• Proven leadership, negotiation and change management skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience managing budgets and P&L.
• Understanding of OHS&E standards and compliance.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective internal/external relationships.

Responsibilities

• Implement continuous improvement frameworks to meet performance objectives and build capacity for growth.
• Plan and coordinate equipment with short and long-term schedules to optimise labour and throughput.
• Provide strong leadership and support to the operations team to deliver objectives.
• Foster a positive workplace culture with accountability and mutual respect.
• Assume responsibility for site operations in the absence of the Site Manager.
• Lead production across all shifts ensuring safety, engagement and quality across teams.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory, and OHS&E policies and practices.
