Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Research Experience Librarian to support HDR candidates and researchers in scholarly communications, open access, and publishing workflows. The role emphasizes delivering workshops, advising on repository practices, and aligning them with university policies.

The successful candidate will manage relationships with stakeholders, provide strategic advice, and contribute to the Library’s service management through the Scholarly Communication and Repositories group.

Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of the research process and scholarly communications.
Experience with open access, publisher policies, copyright, and research impact metrics.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and delivery of scholarly communications services for HDR researchers.
Design, deliver, and assess workshops and online resources.
Advise on metadata, interoperability, and workflows to improve discovery of UNSW research outputs.
Apply policies from university, government, and industry to Library services.
Support FAIR principles in deposits and research dissemination.
Collaborate with Library staff to enhance scholarly communication practices.
