Job summary

Right at Home Gold Coast South is seeking compassionate Personal Care Workers for casual in-home aged care support across the Gold Coast South area. You will deliver direct personal care, maintain client dignity and independence, and follow individual care plans with a professional approach.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or equivalent) or equivalent.
• Experience providing personal care to older people or daily living support.
• Strong understanding of personal hygiene, dignity, privacy and client choice.
• Ability to follow individual care plans and deliver care safely and respectfully.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and families.
• Reliability, patience and a professional approach to working independently in clients' homes.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Required employment screening and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with showering, bathing, personal hygiene and grooming.
• Support dressing, undressing and clothing choices.
• Provide toileting assistance and continence care.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and positioning.
• Support oral hygiene and daily personal care routines.
• Assist with eating and drinking per the care plan.
• Promote dignity, privacy and independence during care.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' wellbeing and needs.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and communicate with the care management team.
• Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
