Job summary

Flourish Australia in Hervey Bay is seeking Peer Workers to join our local team. You will support people on their recovery journey, drawing on your lived experience to foster hope and connection.

These Full-Time roles operate on a rotating roster (weekdays, weekends, afternoons) in the community, with an attractive hourly rate, super and salary packaging. Training and career development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or higher qualification in a relevant field, or a minimum of two years’ full-time experience in the human services sector.
• Personal lived experience of a mental health challenge and recovery.
• The ability to draw on your lived experience to inspire hope and support others, plus a current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate capacity building groups and schedule one-to-one peer support sessions.
• Support people in the drop-in centre and assist NDIs community access supports.
• Engage respectfully with clients to promote recovery goals and empowerment.
