Job summary

Horsham Rural City Council is seeking a Casual Library Officer for the Horsham Branch Library. You will perform a range of relief duties, handling administrative tasks and delivering high-quality library services to residents, visitors and workers.

Experience in customer service within a public library or service industry is preferred, with on-the-job training provided to meet library service requirements. Applications are reviewed by a real person.

Qualifications

• The successful applicant/s will have customer service experience in a public library and/or experience in a service industry would be advantageous.
• Knowledge and/or skills gained through on-the-job training commensurate with requirements of customer service industry work.

Responsibilities

• Undertake administrative and customer service tasks efficiently and effectively to provide high-quality library services and programs.
• Relief basis duties across Horsham Branch Library and may be required to work at other Wimmera Libraries branches.
