Job summary
Western District Health Service in Hamilton is seeking Community Support Workers to join our Community Services team. This role helps older people live independently at home by providing domestic assistance and practical day-to-day support, ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable living environment.
No formal qualifications are required and comprehensive training is provided. We offer permanent part-time and casual positions with flexible arrangements, 25% casual loading for casuals and salary
Qualifications
- No formal qualifications required; comprehensive training and support provided.
- Ability to follow care plans and organisational procedures.
- Current Driver's Licence and Police Check (or willingness to obtain) required.
Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance: cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, kitchen and bathroom upkeep.
- Laundry & Household Support: washing, drying, ironing, folding.
- Shopping & Community Support: run errands per care plans.
- Observation & Reporting: monitor wellbeing and report safety concerns.
- Communication & Documentation: keep accurate records with participants and families.
