Job summary

Linde operates a fleet maintenance workshop in Smithfield, NSW and is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to lead the daily operations. You will oversee a team of Heavy Diesel Mechanics, coordinate repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Reporting to the Head of Fleet and maintenance, you will monitor schedules, drive continuous improvement, and manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable fleet performance and cost control.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Experience in fleet, heavy vehicle, or diesel maintenance environments.
• Proven leadership and team supervision skills.
• Knowledge of safety, compliance, and maintenance documentation requirements.
• Excellent planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong computer literacy and experience with maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations, repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Lead, coach, and support workshop personnel to achieve safety, quality, and performance objectives.
• Monitor fleet availability, maintenance schedules, and breakdown response to minimise downtime.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, OEMs, and warranty providers.
• Ensure accurate maintenance records, compliance documentation, and system updates are maintained.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency, reliability, and cost control.
